Motivational Speaker talks with BBC – Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the BBC Bristol studios and appear on live TV! Before I continue, check out the motivational news clip below:

The topic was ‘knife crime’ and how it seems to be rapidly increasing in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. We also discussed an incident which recently happened with a 12 year old boy, and how Del from the ‘Increase The Peace’ charity had to get involved.

I talked a little about knife crime; but my main focus was on, what I believe to be, one of the largest problems across the whole of the UK – lack of aspiration. Not only this but a lack of self-belief in our youth resulting in a loss of direction.

These factors are the main reason I do what I do; as I stated on BBC, I am not necessarily educated, skilled or talented, but one thing I am willing to do is work hard in order to turn goals and dreams to reality.

That is why I tell people at my motivational speeches to follow me on social media; the main reason is because if they can see me go after my goals and dreams everyday then hopefully it will inspire others to do the same thing.

I want individuals, regardless of age, to realise that you CAN achieve great things, success is possible and you can go on to do exactly what you want. Instead of approaching life in a negative way, create a goal or dream and then we can begin to work towards it in a positive manner.

There you have it; some of my thoughts, it’s great to have these type of conversations because, in my eyes, the more awareness the better. I will not pretend I have the solution to knife crime across the UK, but one thing I am sure of is the more positive role models we have, who can work and develop communities the better our environment will be.
