5 days, inspiring 3 different schools in the South West, 1 in Gloucester and 2 in Bristol.
On Wednesday I visited Churchdown School Academy to inspire the sixth form students. Firstly, it was an incredible school, with inspirational pictures and quotes perfectly placed around the building. It was a great school to visit; the students were friendly and staff were full of energy, sharing a similar vision to me. It was apparent my message resonated with the students. When I was talking to the students after, one student told me “I wish you were here last year, when I was in year 11”.
On Friday I visited Downend School in Bristol; I ran my program called ‘The Elite Academy’, the motivational sessions are focused on every year group, and you can see all the student responses here –
Downend made me feel like I was at home; the students were amazing, they were engaged and interacted throughout. I was buzzing after all my motivational sessions, it is days like that which remind me why I do what I do, so thank you, Downend.
On Monday I visited Merchants’ Academy for a motivational session with the year 11’s; for the first session on a Monday morning, it went amazing. Here are 3 messages I received from the students:
“You really inspired me today, this is my last year, you really made me want to get my head down because last year wasn’t the best for me, this is the year that counts and you made me realise.”
“Thank you for coming to Merchants’ Academy, you genuinely did exactly what you came to do to me! You really make me feel I’m someone that can make an impact and do well, instead of being just another number! Thank you.”
“I’ve been thinking about the speech you made today; it was inspiring and I’ve learnt not to follow my mates and just be myself.”
Plus a testimonial from a Merchants’ Academy teacher Mark Nixon:
“Cameron gave a powerful performance which commanded the attention of every single student in the room. Cameron’s message of hope and aspiration draws upon personal experiences, experiences which he is able to convey to the students in a direct and accessible language.
Cameron is passionate about what he does and this clearly comes through in his delivery which is both dynamic and believable.”
My schedule is filling up; if you want to invite me to run a motivational session within your school then email me personally on cam@cameron-parker.com
