This past week has been a bit of a Midlands takeover for me and the Dreams 2 Reality team. Four schools, hundreds of students, countless conversations—and one very tired but inspired speaker. Weeks like this remind me why the Power Programme exists: to create consistency, build momentum, and help students step into their potential with clarity and confidence.

Midlands Takeover: A Week of Impact with the Power Programme

Orchard Mead Academy – Day 3 of the Power Programme
It was great to be back at Orchard Mead Academy for Day 3 of the programme, working alongside the legendary Tom Hague. At this stage, students are starting to shift from inspiration to implementation—taking the lessons from previous sessions and applying them in a way that sets them up for success in Year 11. The energy in the room showed me they are taking the challenge seriously, and I left feeling confident that real progress is being made.

West Walsall E-ACT Academy – Launch Day
Next up was West Walsall E-ACT Academy, where we officially launched the Power Programme with Year 11. A brilliant group of students, full of personality and potential, who gave me everything I needed as a speaker. A huge thank you to Laura Wilson for the opportunity—your trust and support mean the world. The launch session is always about setting the tone, and this group made it clear they’re ready to rise to the challenge.

North Birmingham Academy – Day 3
North Birmingham Academy has quickly become one of my favourite schools to work with. This week marked Day 3 of the programme, and it was powerful to see the shift in mindset from the first time we met. Students are now taking greater ownership of their goals, and it was also a personal highlight to bump into the amazing Jo Paddock—someone I have huge respect for in education.

Arrow Vale High School – Years 10 & 11
Finally, I had the privilege of working with both Year 10 and Year 11 students at Arrow Vale High School. Sessions like these remind me of the importance of starting early—helping Year 10s lay the groundwork before stepping into the pressures of Year 11. I’ll be back in January, and I can’t wait to continue building on what we’ve started.

By the end of the week, I was definitely tired, but more than anything, I was inspired. The commitment from students, the support from staff, and the belief in what we’re building through the Power Programme makes the long hours on the road worth it. Next week, we go again—more schools, more students, and more opportunities to turn dreams into reality.
