Happy February everyone. January was a tough month for us all in education. It’s no secret this Academic year will continue to present many more challenges and struggles. However, we have come this far, and I know together we can get through this.
I’m always trying to do my part for education. My main focus and expertise are in working with teenagers, but I also like to serve teachers. With that said, I had the opportunity to sit down with Martyn Oliver, who is the CEO of Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Before I continue, here is the video to the interview: (If you don’t have time to watch the video then head over to Apple Podcast or Spotify and listen when you are on the move.)
There you have it. I hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I enjoyed having the opportunity to sit down with Martyn. I wanted Martyn on the podcast because I have seen first-hand the amazing work Outwood Academies are doing
The standard across the board is excellent, and I have always been made to feel very welcome by students and staff in every Outwood Academy I have visited. Students have always engaged and approached the sessions with an open mind ready to learn and progress.
Here are some messages from students after my motivational and mindset programs in some of the Outwood Academies. Anyways enough about me, I had to use the opportunity to plug my work didn’t I haha.
Student Messages:
“Hey Cameron it is **** from Outwood. I wanted to say thank you very much for the assembly and the session after. It really meant a lot as I said before I was defiantly inspired after going through quite a bit with my mum an grandad dying at the same time and living with my nana. I have given up at almost everything especially school but hopefully, with everything u said today I will be able to stop being so anxious and maybe start to feel better thankyou”

All jokes aside, thank you for your time Martyn. Over the years you have supported me and Dreams 2 Reality in many ways. You are a true leader with a big heart who is there for your community. This interview inspired me, especially as I have seen how passionate you are about the values of the Trust. These aren’t just words, they’re something you live by every day.
