This was me then & this is me now…

God damn Ben & Jerry’s Fudge Brownie Ice cream

This was a regular occurrence for me along with trips to the shop to buy my favourite pizza

I woke up everyday feeling like a slob

I’d reached a point where I was heavy… & not in a good way

The stick my chest out & take the world on confidence I’d had years before had vanished

I was sick, tired & fed up

I’ll be honest with you cam

I ended up ashamed with how I looked

I was fed up  with not practicing what I preached

Fed up with not having the confidence of my younger years

& I felt this way for a long time

Thankfully I finally managed to break through this

It wasn’t easy but there were simple steps I took to get there

The last one is the biggest point of all

Let me share with you how I managed to do it & you can to.

Asking For Help – Training & Nutrition is an area I don’t have a huge amount of knowledge in.

So I got someone else to do it for me. Marcus Duharty was the man I turned to for help.

Marcus broke it down into very simple steps for me to follow

It wasn’t easy but it was simple.

All I know is the workouts were fun and completed in less than 60 minutes and I wasn’t eating plain, boring, tasteless chicken and rice every meal, the outcome?

I think the picture below says it all.

& guess what I still eat Ben & Jerrys (maybe not two tubs in a row) but I now understand how to work this into my nutrition & STILL build a head turning body.

Having A Specific Goal – Creating a clear end point on what I wanted to achieve helped a lot.

Not just saying I want to lose weight but being clear on how much weight I you wanted to lose.

How much do you want to bench press? How much fat do you want to shift? How do you want people to treat you? How many miles do you want to run? How long do you want to take to get there?

Once you figure that out, you can measure progress and see whether you are moving in the right direction, if you are, then your motivational levels will increase making the whole process easier.

Accountability – I found someone who would hold me accountable to my word.

On a daily & weekly basis I needed to report back to them. This helped me achieve the basics of…’doing what I said I would do’

We’ve all said we’ll do something and never followed through with it; an accountability partner will change that for you.

Create A Habit – Yes it did require willpower and believing in myself.

But what was the alternative? Stay out of shape & miserable the rest of my life?

The daily & weekly accountability helped me develop good habits. Once I cracked this, going to the gym and eating appropriately to reach my goals became easy, I just did it without thinking about it.

Taking Action – Thinking about it + Planning it out + Talking about it = NOTHING

Nothing… Without Doing Something About It.

You have to do something. TAKE ACTION.
