l at home, I am proud of the improvements and development of the academy, since being a regular visitor.
The career advisor at Bristol Met has played a massive part in growing my motivational speaking brand across Bristol; the academy was one of the very first to provide me with an opportunity to speak, and of course I did my very best and turned a skeptic into a believer.
The reason for my visit was to inspire the years 9s ahead of there raising aspirations event held at UWE; I was the motivational speaker at the same event last year, here is a video if you haven’t already seen it and if you want to see me in action —–>
My time with the group was short; I knew I needed to be precise leaving a lasting impact on the students. My goal for every school talk I deliver is aimed towards adding value whilst providing the WOOW factor. That is exactly what happened, I received unbelievable feedback after the motivational talk. The feedback is always a great indicator of how successful my service was.
The teachers had their own talk after my inspirational session, it related very much to what I was saying in my talk. They emphasized the importance of following your own path and pursuing something you really want to do, as there are many career avenues to go down. This is important, we are all unique in our own way, we may not be great in school, but there is a high chance we excel in other areas.
