Biggest Mistake in Revision – Welcome all, so over the next 12 weeks I will be releasing a new video every week! The video is designed to support students in their exam preparation. You can expect motivation, concepts and strategies, but before you read the blog, it is essential you watch the video below: ‘the biggest mistake in revision ’.
I get asked all the time, “What do you think are the biggest mistakes students make when they are preparing for their exams?” It is a difficult question to answer because I feel the list can sometimes be endless! However, I will endeavor to cover them over the course of the next few months leading up to the exams.
The biggest mistake I see people make, year after year, is this: they simply…
Prepare too late!!
They avoid revision for as long as they possibly can and when they do finally decide to sit down to revise (if they ever do that is) they will discover the workload is too large, resulting in feeling overwhelmed, anxious and perhaps even apathetic.
The great news: if you start NOW, you should be okay. Ideally, you should have started last year, but it is not the end of the world and we can’t do anything about that right now.
Over the Christmas period I received messages on Snapchat asking “is it too late?” So the answer is NO, you still have time to turn things around, not for your teachers, not for your parents – for you!
This is your future; you deserve the best so step up and don’t be the person who ruins their exams because you started too late.
So start now, start now, start now, if you are lost, reach out for help! Please remember, you can’t have excuses and results at the same time – it’s one or the other? You choose.
Start NOW!
