Why wouldn’t you live your dream? Or do something you really want to do? We are only here once and you want to make sure that when you look back on your life you don’t have a huge number of regrets. Before I continue; watch the motivational video below:
This month I have 35 talks in 31 days; schools, colleges and prisons. This was all a dream 5 years ago and the positive messages I receive from students and teachers have made it a reality. Here’s one I received last week – from a teacher -after running a motivational workshop:
“The workshop was great. You really understand the challenges pupils face at school. Thank you for your message supporting the work teachers do. Your words were extremely powerful and I know touched many of our students. The amount of ‘grateful’ students you left behind was proof of this”
On a personal note, and what I mention in the motivational video above is, I want people to go after what they truly want, put in 110% and make sure that whatever happens they have no regrets; I don’t want to live in a society of people who wished they ‘tried a little harder’.
This was me. I wanted to get a scholarship to play American football in the USA. I dedicated two years of my life to it and in the end I fell short but I don’t have any regrets because I tried my hardest – I guess it just wasn’t supposed to be.
However In those two years my character developed massively and is a big reason I do what I do no. In fact, I’m glad I didn’t go to America because If I did I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now.
This year alone I will be talking to over 50,000 students in the UK and that number is always increasing .It was my dream 5 years ago and today I’m making it happen.
I have planned the future but who really knows what the future will bring? All I know is that I have tried my best and I have no regrets. Take my advice: do the same; avoid other people’s opinions and chase your dreams!
