I have worked with Cam at two different schools and cannot recommend him highly enough. Students (and staff) are immediately put at ease by Cam and engage fully in the activities that he has to offer, whether it is motivational speaking or working with groups of disadvantaged students. His presenting styles is relaxed and this helps students to engage, he is empathetic to his audiences but does not allow students to make excuses. Cam has a breadth of experience and knowledge to draw upon to ensure the very best outcomes for students. At one school I engaged Cam to work with some very difficult to engage students, he succeeded by firstly building a trusting relationship with the students and then challenging them to achieve.

The incredible Cameron Parker was at Shenley Academy this morning to deliver a truly uplifting and inspiring assembly to our Year 11 cohort who are about to embark upon their GCSE examinations.

Cameron has bags of energy and a fantastic way of bringing to life his journey in work and school to help the next generation understand that they have a choice and many chances to control the movement of their lives. I was fortunate enough to be able to have Cameron speak at our Rocking Ur Teens International Men's Day boys conference and he was amazing, he had 170 young men and adults in the room on their feet and discussing their fears but also how they could overcome them.

He was the moderator for the LM Ambassadors panel. It was the first time that LM had hosted such a format and they wanted an external, objective voice to host. Cameron is a ball of energy and held the room as he managed 8 school leaders in a tight time frame. He quickly developed a rapport with the speakers and the audience with his warm, positive and witty delivery style. He is a refreshingly authentic and grounded speaker, confident yet humble.

Cameron visited our school in London and really captured the attention of the students during an assembly with year11s. He kept students engaged with his honesty and energy and definitely created a buzz in the academy for the rest of the initial day of the programme. I really admired and appreciated the passion and enthusiasm he injected into the workshops he delivered - he took a real interest in our disadvantaged students. I was particularly impressed with the parents Q&A evening he held, which allowed our parents and carers to feel involved in the programme and the objectives of the programme. That’s the result of working with over a million young people, but it would be impossible to share every message from students and teachers. (You probably won’t even see this but I just want to show you my appreciation for your speech today.)”

Thank you SO much for yesterday! The feedback I have received from staff is that there was a real buzz around Y11 yesterday, it was so lovely to see the immediate impact that your intervention has had on students! 

The student who you were speaking to for a while at the end of the day yesterday has approached his English teacher for revision resources and advice on what he needs to do outside of lesson to have the best shot at achieving a 4 in his GCSE. 

The other student who was brought into your last session who you mentioned to me and in staff CPD was at school at 8:45 this morning (which is unheard of according to his Head of Year). He finally had the courage to speak to his Head of Year and one of the Deputy Heads and admit he is completely lost and overwhelmed with no idea where to start in terms of revision. Between myself, my HoD, his HoY, and the DH, we are collating resources and helping him to create a plan to support him with revision and schoolwork so that he has the best possible chance at his GCSEs. We all agreed this morning that this would not have happened with this student if it wasn’t for your session yesterday. 

Across the cohort there has been an increase in attainment, there was a 32 student increase in period 6 attendance tonight compared to the start of term. This is over 30%. When looking through the registers, there are students who have attended P6 today who have not done so before. 

Sorry – just to add, the Head of Geography has just sent me the following email; I had 3 students come and see me today in year 11 who would not ordinarily come. They were from 3 different groups. They asked If I had any extra revision they could do and this was off the back of the assembly yesterday. I was able to invite them to P6 and the revision weekend and they looked happy and relieved of some support! Was beautiful!
