Pupil Premium Intervention for the Power Programme

Pupil Premium Intervention

The Goal of the Power Programme – Pupil Premium Intervention

Raise Attainment & GCSE Outcomes

Deliver measurable impact on progress and attainment, supporting schools in improving outcomes across key Pupil Premium cohorts.

Re-engage Disengaged Learners

Increase student engagement, motivation and readiness to learn, particularly for those at risk of underachievement.

Close the Attainment Gap

Provide targeted, evidence-informed support that accelerates progress and reduces attainment disparities.

Strengthen Learning Behaviours

Develop consistency, resilience and positive routines that underpin success both in and beyond the classroom.

Create Sustainable, Long-Term Impact

Embed strategies and mindsets that extend beyond the intervention, supporting ongoing school improvement priorities.

What is the Power Programme?

The Power Programme is a high impact Pupil Premium Intervention delivered over 12 days across the academic year, designed to close the attainment gap and drive measurable outcomes.

Cameron personally launches the programme with students, staff and parents to build buy in and set clear expectations. Delivery is then led by a Dreams 2 Reality coach, all trained by Cameron to ensure consistency and impact.

Through assemblies, targeted workshops and 1:1 support. The programme works with the same selected students to build relationships and sustain progress, also engaging parents and working closely with teachers throughout. Additionally students also gain access to the Online Academy, with weekly webinars and 200+ videos supporting mindset, mental health and academic performance.

This is a full wrap around programme designed to go beyond motivation, ensuring real, lasting impact.

Further details on groupings and the Power Programme layout are available at the bottom of the page. Cameron can also deliver the full programme personally as a premium option, however there are limited spaces available each year.

“Our Year 11 students have struck up a keen relationship with Cam over the past six months or so – and it’s no coincidence that as a year group their attendance is up over 2% on last year, and they are set to break all results records this summer.”

Tom Hague – Director of Education

“We are happy with last years’ report and we got the best pupil premium P8 score we have ever had and all the students Cameron worked with were part of that so the mentoring is definitely having that impact. Lots of positive momentum to be starting the year with for the new group of students.”

Amer Mohammed – Assistant Headteacher

“Across the cohort there has been an increase in attainment, there was a 32 student increase in period 6 attendance tonight compared to the start of term. This is over 30%. When looking through the registers, there are students who have attended P6 today who have not done so before.”

What does your Pupil Premium strategy really look like right now? And more importantly, what’s your biggest challenge?

Is it academic performance, Progress 8, attendance, behaviour or mindset and mental health? Are you finding it difficult to create the level of impact needed to genuinely close the attainment gap?

For over a decade our focus has been exactly that. Supporting schools to close the attainment gap is something our founder Cameron Parker specialises in and extremely passionate about.

There’s no magic solution, but there is a proven approach and the impact of the Power Programme speaks for itself.

The reality is, schools have a limited window to make a difference. The pressure is high, expectations are higher and time is always against you, so that’s where we come in. Partnering with us is designed to support the incredible work already happening in schools, while reducing pressure on staff and delivering an intervention that actually makes a difference.

If you’re serious about closing the attainment gap and creating measurable impact, now is the time to act.

Here is Cameron delivering a HIGH IMPACT keynote speech to educational leaders on closing the attainment gap at a Pupil Premium conference in Birmingham:

Power Programme Overview & Structure

To maximise impact the schools will typically organise students into four focused groups of up to 15 learners. This ensures each session is targeted, engaging, and allows us to build meaningful connections with every student.

While every school is different, most choose to group students based on the following areas:

Students who struggle to engage with learning.

Those facing behaviour related challenges.

Pupils with attendance concerns.

Students lacking aspirations or direction.

Those needing support with self esteem, confidence and mental health.

Grade 3/4 boundary students who require targeted support to secure a pass and beyond.

High prior attainers who would benefit from stretch and mindset development.

This flexible approach allows the Power Programme to be tailored to your school’s specific needs, ensuring the right students receive the right support at the right time.

Motivational Assembly Delivered by UK’s #1 Motivational Speaker for Secondary Schools Cameron Parker

We strongly recommend starting the programme with the assembly. It creates a shared experience across the year group, meaning targeted students feel less singled out. It also begins to build trust and credibility naturally without the hard sell. As a result, students are far more open and engaged when they enter the workshops. Be prepared…you may even have students asking why they weren’t selected.

Targeted Workshops

These sessions are for the students selected onto the Power Programme. Delivered in four focused workshops (1 hour each), they provide targeted support, deeper engagement and practical strategies to drive real impact.

Staff CPD – High Standards, High Expectations

An engaging session that challenges staff to reflect on standards and expectations with practical strategies to strengthen impact across the school.

Parents’ Session

This session can be delivered to all Year 10/ 11 parents or specifically to the parents of targeted students. It provides clear guidance, practical support and strengthens the home school partnership during a crucial time.

6 Days of Targeted Workshops & Priority 1:1 Support delivered by the Dreams 2 Reality Speaker you selected

Students continue in their 4 targeted groups (up to 15 per group), building on the same focus areas introduced on Day 1. Each session is designed to drive measurable impact – improving attainment, strengthening behaviour for learning and increasing engagement and attendance through consistent and targeted intervention.

Priority 1:1 Support – In the final hour, three students identified by the school as requiring the highest level of support will receive focused 20-minute 1 – 1 sessions, this will target individual barriers and unlocking progress.

This is in addition to the wider 1 – 1 support all students will receive later in the programme, ensuring no student is left behind.

Pupil Premium Intervention

4 Days Dedicated to 1 – 1 Support

These days are fully focused on 20-minute individual 1 – 1 sessions, giving every student the opportunity to receive personalised support, address individual barriers and build a clear plan for progress.

This consistent and targeted approach ensures every student on the programme benefits from dedicated 1 – 1 time. This will help drive meaningful change in attainment, behaviour and engagement.

Celebration Day & Final Impact

The programme concludes with a powerful Celebration Day, featuring one of our high profile Dreams 2 Reality speakers. From elite athletes and TV personalities to industry leaders, they will deliver inspiring sessions to each group.

This final experience reinforces key messages, celebrates each student’s journey and leaves a lasting impression at a crucial stage in their education.

Final feedback is collected to evidence impact and students are recognised with certificates of completion. Celebrating their commitment, growth and progress throughout the programme.

A memorable finish designed to build pride, raise aspirations and cement long term change.

Accountability and Feedback loop to ensure working with PP students on the Power Programme - Parents engagment is crucial.

The Story Behind the Power Programme

Cameron Parker began his journey in education over 15 years ago and, in a relatively short space of time, became the UK’s #1 motivational speaker for secondary schools. The impact was clear, but it raised a bigger question: what does real, lasting change actually look like?

Driven by this, Cameron became increasingly focused on data, research and understanding how impact is truly achieved. We’ve all felt motivated for a moment but what happens when motivation fades? That’s why Cameron shifted his focus towards long term, sustainable change, dedicating much of his work to supporting Pupil Premium students.

Cameron understands the importance of education, opportunity and environment and how the right support at the right time can change the direction of a young person’s life.

The Power Programme is not a magic solution because there isn’t one. Instead, it is designed to work alongside schools, complementing their Pupil Premium strategy to create impact in multiple ways and support the closing of the attainment gap.

This is about more than motivation. It’s about measurable, meaningful change that lasts.
