It didn’t for me; when I was in school, one year after taking my GCSEs, my drive, motivation, and punctuality was at an all time low. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. When my aspirations started to increase it was a slow process but once I created a vision, goal, and dream for my future that I truly believed in, everything changed. My attitude towards my life and others changed, my work ethic increased and the bad behaviors that were once holding me back have now been dismissed entirely.
The results, if implemented correctly, are second to none. It is important to state that we as educational leaders are in a position to impact and inspire many young people. What you say today may stay with the student for the rest of their lives; you have the power to make a difference, one student at a time.
